The relevance of the paper is that it emphasizes the features of the formation and use of comedy in television sketch shows. This problem requires further study, since TV programs of this genre are popular on modern television. In particular, it is important to evaluate both the role of various linguistic means in expressing laughter and to show to what extent the extralinguistic factor (state policy, social problems, trends) and culture influence the formation of humor and satire. The objective of the paper is to analyze the features of creating satire and humor, as well as the functioning of linguistic means and the extralinguistic factor in the formation of comicality in an entertaining television sketch show (based on the material of "Limmy's Show!").
